ParityUSD Progress Update

ParityUSD Progress Update

#Intro

Welcome to 2026! It’s been a little while since our last update in December, and we want to fill everyone in on where things stand. The short version: the software is built and the audits are done. We’ve been using the extra time to make the overall experience even better, and we’re now focused on getting our launch strategy and marketing right — because we want to launch this properly, not hurriedly.

#Audits Successfully Completed

In our previous blogpost we shared that a third round of smart contract audits was underway with two independent audit firms. We’re happy to report that both re-audits — by Sighash Labs and Lifestone Labs — have been successfully completed. The ParityUSD smart contract system has been thoroughly reviewed across multiple rounds and by multiple parties, and we’re confident in the security and correctness of the contracts.

#Software Ready

As a reminder, all core components of ParityUSD — the smart contracts, the TypeScript library, the web platform, the transaction server, the interest manager, and the monitoring dashboard — were already built and functional ahead of our original December launch window. In the time since, we’ve focused on production hardening to make sure everything runs reliably from day one.

#Investing in the Wallet Experience

One thing that became very clear to us during development is that to deliver the best possible dapp experience, the wallet side needs to be top-notch. A dapp is only as good as the wallet you use it with. This led us to prioritize some important work on Cashonize, the primary Bitcoin Cash web wallet with CashTokens and WalletConnect support.

Cashonize v0.6.0 was a major release with a long list of improvements. The highlights include multi-wallet support, a new onboarding flow for first-time users, and new WalletConnect capabilities — all key improvements for interacting with PUSD.

Cashonize v0.7.0 is releasing this week and with this release Cashonize is fully equipped for the ParityUSD launch — providing the polished, reliable wallet experience that users will need to borrow, stake, and redeem. Alongside smaller additions like token search and token sweep, the headline features are:

  • HD Wallet Support — Users can now generate and manage hierarchical deterministic wallets, bringing Cashonize in line with industry-standard wallet architecture. This means better key management and a smoother experience for users managing their BCH and CashTokens.

  • Parsable NFT Support — When you interact with ParityUSD, your loans and staking positions are represented as NFTs on-chain. Cashonize is the first wallet to read the data stored inside these NFTs and display it in a way that actually makes sense — showing you things like your staked PUSD amount and staking epoch instead of unreadable technical data. This requires both wallet support and dapp support, as each dapp needs to define how its NFT data should be interpreted. ParityUSD will be the first dapp to ship with this, and Cashonize the first wallet to display it. In the screenshot below you can see PUSD staking receipts with their details clearly displayed right in the wallet.

#Preparing for Launch

With the software ready, audits completed, and the wallet experience polished, what remains is the launch itself. We’re taking our time to get the marketing and rollout right. PUSD is a new kind of product for Bitcoin Cash, and we believe it deserves a launch that does it justice.

We’re very excited and proud of what we’ve built. We’ll be sharing more updates as things come together!
